Life Choices Foundation: A Helping Hand to a Brighter Future
The Life Choices Foundation assists students, young adults and other vulnerable people to make more constructive life choices, especially those who are engaging in anti-social behaviour, or who find themselves under the pressure of a negative influence. Our experienced Life Choices Foundation instructors encourage their audience through engaging and motivating programs to put past mistakes behind them, to think about the consequences of future decisions and behaviours, and to decide what sort of legacy they want to leave behind.
- To inspire people to live their lives positively
and peacefully.
- To teach people how to cope in the face of
adversity and negative influences, such as peer pressure.
- To demonstrate howto stay positive in every
situation, especially if being bullied by others.
- To assist people in letting go of the past,
and to makebetter, more constructive decisions moving forward.
Digital Programs
1.
The Life Choices Program
The Life Choices
Program is a version of our highly popular ‘in person' program where we focus
on the following topics: Self-Control, Addictive Behaviours, Self-Image, Social
Comparison, Road Safety, Community Awareness, and Values and Beliefs.
This program
encourages people to follow their hearts and choose a supportive, beneficial life-path
by providing evidence-based information and real-life anecdotes.
2.
Is This for Real?
The "Is This for
Real" program is designed by Andrew Fisher especially for Year 7 students.
As part of this popular program, the students are encouraged to talk freely about
the emotions they may be feeling, as well as about any challenges they may be
encountering as a small fish in the much larger high school pond.
The program focuses
on the Positive / Negative Mindset, Freedom of Choice, Reflection and Control,
Resilience, Self-evaluation and a whole lot more. Andrew, who is the
facilitator, equips the viewer with the tools to help them remain focused on the
positive despite opposition, failure, and negative circumstances.
3.
The Covid Experience
In “The COVID
Experience” presentation, Andrew focuses on topics that include: Isolation,
Social Comparison, Digital Dependence, Trust, Purpose, Relationships,
Self-Evaluation, Reflection and Control, Resilience, Capacity, and Happiness and
Well-Being.
Here, Andrew
encourages the viewer to reflect on what they have learned about themselves and
the community in which they live during this difficult time. He asks the viewer
to reflect on the positives they can take away from the experience, the lessons
they have learnt, and how all this information can help them to make the future
a better place.
The goal of this
program is to get students to think about themselves, and to reflect on their
feelings and behaviours.
